Accomplishments




The Cobb Faith Partnership has played an active role in the community through various efforts; please find a listing of activities/accomplishments below:

  • Organized a multi-organizational task force responsible for the successful Faith Based Forum & Summit in May 2003 to discuss faith-based funding support, case management and service support tools, and networking opportunities for area faith-based organizations. This event was the forerunner to our Annual Small Ministries Making a Big Difference forum.
  • Developed and hosted The Small Ministries Making a Big Difference forum annually since 2004.  The event brings together more than 40 organizations and 100+ attendees to share and discuss important community needs and services and also highlights best practices from area ministries.
  • Established Geographical Teams to facilitate collaborative efforts based on specific needs of each area of the county including Marietta Central, Southwest Cobb, Northwest Cobb, Northeast Cobb and Southeast Cobb.
  • Distributed our first Member Services Listing in May 2005, the forerunner to our current CFP Member List, a searchable database of current members and their outreach efforts in and around Cobb County. 
  • Created a Cobb Churches & Ministries Database by City which contains over 500 listings and is updated on an ongoing basis.
  • Created and implemented a ongoing comprehensive survey to gauge needs among churches in the Cobb area.
  • Hosted the first ever Cobb Churches & Ministries Resource Fair in conjunction with Spikes Pizzeria in May 2004 increasing awareness and raising funds for CFP efforts.
  • Helped create Cobb Disaster Recovery to assist displaced flood victims.
  • Influential in Cobb Collaborative's providing 1-year free Pathways access to small churches and nonprofits in Cobb County.
